Photographer's Note
Taken on a cold early spring morning in late March 2004.The sun had just risen and the street lamps were still lit.I was standing on a bridge over the Leeds-liverpool canal just 5 minutes walk from the city centre.
In this area were old derelict warehouses and it is being re-developed and new offices and restaurants are taking their place.
With a main line of 127.25 miles the Leeds-Liverpool canal is the longest in Britain. It links the seaport of Liverpool with the Aire and Calder Navigation at Leeds, forming a through route between the Irish & North sea.

Nice shot andy.
The reddosh hues of the warehses are wonderful, and the reflection off the calm canal surface is perfect. A little sharpening in PS will benefit.
Good shot nevertheless!

It is a shame about the white sky as it slightly detracts from an otherwise good shot (we get used to sky's like this in England)
I like the sence of stillness created by the calm water and the artificial lighting works well in the shot.
You could maybe try cropping lower down but I think you would lose the weight of the full building which nicely ballances the shot.
It looks like it's a return trip when the sky's got something to say.

Good diagonal lines leading outwards in the foreground of your photo. Good capture of the lighting, creating a nice early morning feel. I like the great reflections of the boats in the water. English skies, well we can't help that. Well done, Andy.
