Photographer's Note

This shot of a boat with Rhum in the background was taken from Portnadoran campsite just north of Arisaig on the road to Mallaig. The slight grain comes from mounting the negative and using a projector with the Olympus e-20 mounted on top to take a photo of the projected image, then that image reversed in photoshop, then get scanner that does film and still find that this one I like better.

I don't think the grain is anything to worry about. The rest of the image is strong enough to compensate. The orange bouy in the boat is a little distracting. Good use of slight underexposure has really maximised the impact of the colours both in the sky and reflected in the sea.

Hi Derek,
Just come across this in random pictures.
A stunning golden sunset, beautiful reflection on the sea giving great effect with the outline of the yacht. Cannot believe 1970 people have looked at it and you only have 6 points.
Very well taken, good POV.
