Photographer's Note

Ben Nevis with 1344m is the highest mountain in all United Kingdom. There are lot of routes to climb it and there is also the famous Ben Nevis Race.

The Ben Nevis Race has been run in its current form since 1937 but the history of hill running on Ben Nevis dates back to 1895. It takes place on the first Saturday in September every year. It starts and finishes on the outskirts of Fort William, and is 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) long with 1,340 metres (4,400 ft) of ascent. In 1984 Kenny Stuart won the men's race with time of 1:25:34 and established the current and unbeaten record (Wikipedia).

This picture is not from the top of the mountain but from a near hill called 'Sgurr Finnisg-aig'. You get there by taking the Nevis Range cableway.

I have tricked a little the colors here, but I want to test some color process to learn it.

La carrera Ben Nevis se ha ejecutado en su forma actual desde 1937, pero la historia de subir el Ben Nevis se remonta a 1895. Se lleva a cabo en el primer sábado de septiembre de cada año. Comienza y termina en las afueras de Fort William, y tiene 14 kilómetros (8.7 millas) de longitud con 1.340 metros (4.400 pies) de ascenso. En 1984 Kenny Stuart ganó la carrera masculina con tiempo de 1:25:34 y estableció el registro actual y todavía invicto (Wikipedia).

Esta imagen no es desde la cima de la montaña, si no desde una colina cercana llamada Sgurr Finnisg-AIG. Se llega a ella tomando el teleférico Nevis Range.

He engañado algo los colores con un poco de postproceso, pero quería probar alguna técninca de color para aprenderla.

HI Juan,i been there 24 years ago and it's nice to see that nothing is changed there.The nature is well preserved...great capture under the typical scottish sky and very bright and sharp despite the difficult light.Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Wonderful landscape; love the layering of the fields leading to the river/lake. The thick clouds creates a moody atmosphere hat creates character to the scene.
