Photographer's Note
Who is having more fun, a clown in the company of eight lovely girls or eight lovely girls accompanied by a clown?

Bev, good evening.
Lovely picture full of fun, I would love to know what the girl with her back to us was doing to cause so much mirth.
All the best

I guess another caption could be "the shooter gets shot", like the girl in black top trying to capture other friend while you caught them, however I am curious to know what have you thought while capturing the frame as you wanted the other end of street to be part of drama. Also in one corner very beautifuly you have accommodated those bags.

Hello Bev,
What we all need is just a bit of fun, like these young ladies, they all have great smiles and laughter, seem to be bursting out of them.
A very nice photo, well taken in that moment.
Regards
Robert.

Hello Bev,
I've been looking hard for a triangle here, and there is perhaps an inverted one formed by the group of girls.
It takes a bit of time to sort out the connections between the various characters – presumably the clown figure is the owner of the rucksack and the notice propped above it - and the girls intent on their Saturday afternoon shopping, have swamped him like a wave, as they pass along the street. It looks as though the nearest girl is taking a picture on her mobile phone, rather than a camera.
The body language of the girls gives a great dynamism to the composition – particularly that of the one on the left with the extended arm.
I thought initially that a closer crop concentrating on the girls' group alone would be better, but I realise that as it is, the perspective effect of including the length of the street was a good decision.
I like to think that in 10 years time – if they still have the photo, they will look back and think – "What a funny lot we look in our flat shoes, black tights, cardigans and with our huge handbags"
Kind regards,
Peter.

Heu Bev
we can hardly see the clown behind the girls, and the left part with pedestrians is distracting: crop it. The group of girls is living and lovely

Hi, Bev,
I disagree this needs any cropping. I think the composition is just fine. The group is very well placed, the expressions of good humour and laughter are wonderful, great color and really nice detail. You do the best just street scene shots and this is no exception. I love it. Many thanks and warmest regards,
Shelly

Hi Bev
You marvellously managed to capture in your image a lot of contemporary British culture/lifestyle in the cities...from the way everyone in the photo is dressed (even the people in the back) to the way they move and there is a lot of typical architecture in it as well!
