Photographer's Note
Image 5 in my Scottish Highland travelogue - near Kinlochleven, Fort William.
An action shot this time. Midday and the lighting is quite different. The clouds are building up and we are ascenting to the summit of our second mountain (of 4). We have come up the steep (but easy) eastern ridge of Binnein Mor (Mamores) having spend the past hour in thick damp cloud; we again emerge above the mist into sunshine where we are rewarded with more stunning views.
Temp 2C, no wind - perfect mountain walking conditions.
Oh, the mountain in the sun (top right) is Ben Nevis.

Very very impressive action shot David. The view of the landscape is amazing with the tops of the mountains between the clouds. Very sharp and bright image with good DoF. I wish I were young again..:)))
Very good job and thanks for sharing...
By the way, thanks for the additional note to your "Scottish Highlands 1" picture.

It almost looks like they are climbing out of a smoking volcano - nice shot :)

Impressive place and shot. I would also watch my steps in such a roughed terrain. Nicely composed with this diagonal and you did good work capturing the light. It must have been cold (november) and above the clouds, but the guys are not wearing warm cloth, I presume the climb was steep and you had a good sweath.

Awesome, that's is my type of picture. The thrilling moment when you reach the top after so many hours. That's worth everything.
Splendid picture

Another fine shot of these series of photos about the Scotish Hightlands.
The light is the key here, makes this photo very nice!

Now I looked at all your Scottish Highlnd series and this one is my favorite. Again the clouds giving a mysterious sort of affect and the sunshine coming through. Great day for climbing ... and photography it seems ;-)

Hi, David. A nice action shot. The two walkers in the foreground bring colour in a picture that is mainly grey and brown. The ridge is aa good line that points to Ben Nevis. I like the light on the foreground rocks.
