Photographer's Note
The Old Wine House Banbury -- Its difficult to find what to say about this wonderful old building with its quirky signs and the architecture of an old English country town.
The building has a fascinating history in that the left wing was originally built in 1537 as a fine home and then 373 years later (1910) the right wing was modelled to match it. I am not sure when it moved into being a commercial property
Today it is a wine merchants run by a old and well establish family business.

Hello Richard!
Beautiful architecture photo with great framing and architecture! Great wide angle feeling, there are serious perspective distortions there, but "works" very well! Great light management and beautiful colours!

An impressive house with it's wooden carvings.
A very considerate pic. with the signs and structure-line of the house. I'd take this pic. if possible, some 5 meters backwards.

Hello Richard,
A fine composition of this lovely old building that has survived the test of time. I like the light and shadow contrasts and the way you have managed to capture the detail in the architecture. I wonder if the chap coming round the corner is on his way to the wine tasting ;-)

Hi Rich,
long time I don't check your gallery...this is very well collected. The tight framing and the distortion work very well together. The inclusion of the plates was a good decision to fill the upper part. Great job!

Carlos

Hello Rich,
this is an architectonic style which I've never seen in my visits to England. I suppose there aren't many dating back to 1537! The building is really oustanding and so fine and you even got a lovely warm light which makes the colours and textures shine. I like your framing and the inclusion of the street signs. Really a good and interesting work.
TFS,
Donato

Hello Richard,
This old architecture is very attractive to me. The dates are engraved on the façade and the curious plates are inviting to come and enjoy a glass of wine. Splendid composition including the signal plate. Magnificent colors and great light.
Greetings

Hello Ricv, This is an elegant looking old building with lots of character and color. The signage on the right is very helpful to know where one is at the moment. Now the real question is whether you tasted some of the wine. I love good wine, and had I been there I would have certainly had a sip. Regards, Roger

Hi Rich, and here we have you combining 2 of my favourite things in one photo: characteristic old architecture and wine! I love the effect of the wide-angle lens on the perspective, very aqrty. And the colours are lovely and strong, you've managed the shade and lack of light so well. Great job, TFS and enjoy your week, Lisa
