Photographer's Note
Again, a take of the recently built 'old' steam engine, Tornado, pulling a special on the Settle Carlisle railway. The train was over an hour late, and I waited dispiritedly as the sun went, and the clouds came in.. I learned a lot from taking this picture: mostly that taking close ups of moving objects is tricky ! Low light, big aperture, poor depth of focus, speed of approach all made for a tricky moment. This is not the best compostion, but the most complete image of about 6 ! And a deal of PP to bring the colours up. Then to add to my frustration, as the most prosaic of diesel hauled coal trains looms into view, the sun comes out again. Not my afternoon !!
