Photographer's Note
Herd Groyne lighthouse sits on a small groyne at what was once the mouth of the River Tyne in North-East England. The lighthouse was built in 1882 and is still used as a navigation aid to shipping entering and leaving the Tyne.
Taken just before an extremely heavy storm hit the area.

Hello Paul
Very impressing photo with strong contrasts. The red lighthouse is giving this picture a real punch and the grass in the foreground balances the photo nicely.
have a good time

What an outstanding shot, Paul. That does look like one wicked storm, but it's such a beautiful backdrop to the bright red of the lighthouse. And your POV behind the reeds waving in the wind provides great context and a really cool lower frame. Really excellent.

Hello Paul,
this is a stunning graphical image. Love the knock out colours and your focus. The lighthouse seems to be about to set off for a walk using its white "shoes"!.A pleasingly simple composition.
