Photographer's Note

Its got to be done sometime, but why when I am visiting !!

Having looked forward for some years to visiting Roslyn Chapel, I was disappointed by this view when I arrived.

And you, dear viewer must suffer with me, as while I was able to lick my wounds with a tour round the interior, alas no interior photos are allowed.

Much has been written about this chapel, and its significance, not least in the novel The Da Vinci Code, so I wont repeat it here.

What I found most intriguing is that for all its ornate stonework, it is in fact an unfinished project. The original plan was to build a much bigger church, this current west wall being in fact the east wall of the unbuilt transept, with a much larger nave being built to the right of this view.

For those who may be interested this may help you.
