Bude Sea Pool is a tidal swimming pool on the beach at Bude in North Cornwall. The Sea Pool is part-natural and partially man-made.

This shot was taken a few minutes earlier than my previous upload,for this one no filter was used.

The Sea Pool at Bude was created in the 1930s to provide a haven for safe swimming for the people of the town and the thousands of people who visit it each year.

The pool nestles under the cliffs on the north Cornwall coast and is topped up twice a day by the waves of the Atlantic. On a summer’s day the sprawling, sparkling expanse of the Sea Pool offers a blissful opportunity to escape from modern life and to laze, splash or bathe in calm sea water. It is a rare kind of construction: partially man-made and in harmony with the natural environment. Bude Sea Pool provides a precious opportunity to enjoy a unique experience, close to the ferocity of the natural environment but sheltered from its extreme effects.

Following funding cutbacks, the Sea Pool faces an uncertain future. The Friends of Bude Sea Pool was formed in early 2011 to secure the Pool’s future under local management.

This is a beauty, the sky is really captivating, as are the reflections in the pool. The sun is hanging like a disc in the perfect Place in the frame too. Beautiful colours and light, all together a very cool shot. Thanks for sharing.

I go for this one as the warm colours look so natural with the fire ball clearly seen. The stunning cloud scape makes the shot standout with the water sheen and reflection finish off nicely. Well done

An interesting note and I hope that group manages to gain enough funding to allow this sea pool to be saved.

I think I prefer this picture to your previous one though clearly that one took a good bit more effort, what with your "big stopper", long exposure and tripod.

The light, particularly in the sky, is magnificent as also are the colours. Your composition is excellent and also very pleasing, the exposure spot-on and the details and sharpness are exquisite. Gorgeous reflections on the water too.

What a magnificent low light photo. The pastel colours are truly magnificent and the reflections of the clouds in the pool couldn't be more beautiful. Spot on exposure and sharpness. I love tidal pools and this has got to be one of the most attractive pools - and photos of one - I ve ever seen.

Both are pretty, hard to choose, in this one I like the inclusion of the sun, and that thin orange strip, cheers :)
