i wanted to to get a tight shot concentrating solely on the job in hand namely welding and the welder, i also wanted to get the background very dark.

Hello Chris

I cannot believe that no one has commented on this shot and to my shame neither did I for some time but I had not seen you on here for a while and I am less frequent these days.

I have to say this is an absolute stunner of a shot for me. you have caught the light well which is not easy with a welding rod sparking off since it is blinding. I can't stop looking at it - it's a cracker - you should be so proud of this, I would be.

That's a really cool shot. I like photos of people working, and this one is really well made. The B/W is a clever choise.
The falling sparks fulls the bottom third is a magic way.
