Photographer's Note

The 12th Century Norman castle built to protect the crossing of the Rivers Ewenny and Ogmore. One of the number of castles built by the Norman invaders in the low lands of Wales in the late 11th and early 12th century from Pembroke in the west to Chepstow in the east.

The castle stood out against the thunder clouds to the north.
