Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
I know I have been absent for several days but it has been because of commitments and a very sore leg, which has prevented walks.
Yesterday, my leg was feeling considerably better, so we went for our annual visit to Bluebell Wood.
Sadly, the huge carpets of blue had already passed and the flowers most prominent were wild garlic, giving subtle patches of white.
I stumbled upon this twisted monster, lying across the path. It looked very dramatic, the contrasts of sunlight and shadows adding to the overall effect.
In the background, some late bluebells can be seen, providing a hint of blue.
The wood is so very tranquil. Only the sounds of birds and the occasional noise of departing deer can be heard. It's a wonderful place for relaxing.
Thank you for your interest, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
I was actually wondering what kept you away. I hope your leg continues to get better. Seen from this angle the dead tree looks remarkably much like a huge lizard. I clearly see a head, legs and a long tail. Quite an adventure on a bluebell safari and an amusing photo.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
I like the play of the shadows on the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the vegetation, pf the trees and of the fallen one. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.

Hello Beverley,
A really nice photo of this large piece of wood, which really looks like some kind of monster lurking in the undergrowth. It is still nicely surrounded by some blue flowers as well as a nice pattern of shadows.

Hi Bev,I'm happy that your leg is better and you have been able to resume the walks, the result is this very nice photo, there are still some purple spots but the show is given by the mega wooden snake sleeping on the spring carpet, very very beautiful ! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Beverley,
I still remember the Komodo dragon you showed us last year.
So it is still there. Or perhaps this is a tree that looks very much like the dragon you showed earlier.
You still found some bluebells. In the forest I visited in Belgium they have all finished flowering. But all the trees meanwhile have a beautiful full foliage.
I do hope that the pain in your leg does not come back and that you can make many more trips.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Bev,
You have captured here a very nice "art installation" by nature. Quite surprising and photogenic shapes. We can still spot some blue bells around which bring some color to the scene.
I hope you feel better by now. I had a problem with a swollen knee for a while but although the swelling is gone I still feel that something is out of order inside... but overall getting better.
Beautiful natural scene,
M

Hello Beverly,
My a big python! It's got your name written on it, so watch out, it might be coming to get you. I like the presence of the purple flowers.
Regards,
MT
