Photographer's Note
Another shot from the Camden Lock Market.
There were many old style punks like this, holding ad signs for the market shops.
I ahd to use the 300mm lens in orderto take this picture, but this time he saw mw. A second later, he lowered the sign in order to hide his face, but it was too late for him. I already got him.
Taken on a iso 200 Kodak film. scanned and cropped. A little bit contrast added.

Nice image Yitzhak.. I like it a lot. it's nice to see you wanted to take pictures of people in England. A "photoenic " subject here. Tell me? Did you change hairdo while in London???

Dear Yitzhak, funny pic, it does look like better not to ask this man *gggg*.
I like how you framed the signs around him.
BTW London was the first city where I saw people running around with signs, doing advertising for shops. Does this take place somewhere else too ?
Yours, Jan

Hmm.. punks as commercial advertisers, talk about selling out!
The fact that he spotted you and gave you a stare is the crucial part of this picture.
Here the signs make a kind of pattern and works great as background, and they contrast well with the black jackets.
I like how the other punk is hidden behind the sign, it makes a funny "play" between the two figures.

Very well captured shot! I really like his expression when he's looking at you? Those signs are also great. Great shot!

The shot it self is very nice Yitzhak but his eys does tell us that he is botherd by the camera. I'm not sure if i like that. The signs frames the subject very well.

Wow..too many good portrait shots today, this one included. This is a very good documentary shot. I like the expression on his face. You've managed to bring isolate him from the rest of the crowd through your smart composition. Great shot.

Wow, you're emerging as quite a people photographer upon your return from the UK, Yitzhak. A very good capture here, with a supremely interesting subject. I like how he is looking into your lens, but how the rest of the picture consists of signs and people avoiding or turned away from your position. Very nice - more, please!

Great daily life shot Yitzhak. I love the expression on this guy's face. Great timming on your part. I dont understand why they have signs like this. Are demonstrating for or against something, or is it just for publicity?

But why shouldn't he want to be photographed? I thought, if you look like that, you are an exhibitionist and asking for it. Anyway, it is a nice story and a good shot. Very London, indeed.

It looks like a protest march until you read the signs. The guy looks quite aggressive. You got a great shot.
In Edinburgh we have a famous sign advertising a "golf sale" someone holds it every day in the main street.

So did you ask him where the shop was?! he doesn't seem a very 'approachable' guy, but who knows. He looks a little old to be a punk, i thought he might be bald and had bought a punk wig but i'm mistaken. A nice frame filling image, iconic, well done.

You have been fast Yitzhak - to capture him just in time! That threatening look goes very well with his punk style and clothes..I like the sharp colours and again the fine red/white/black prevailing colour combination. Excellent daily life shot!

Excelent image! And I'm glad he's looking as it gives a lot of streght to the photo and makes him stand out of the huge amount of details. Excelent colors also.
This one made me remind of my punk days with my mowhawk hair cut... Yes I wore a haircut similar that!

Wow, this is great! You caught him at just the right moment I think.. where he has a bit of surprise, confusion, and anger on his face all at the same time.
Well exposed and well composed!
Thank you for sharing it, terrific.

I'm only seeing this shot now as it was on the front page - great image, the colours & DOF are just right. He doesn't look as angry as some punks, I don't know why but it seems that way to me.

Me parece que em alguns segundos ele vai largar esta placa no chão e correr atrás de você e sua câmera fotográfica. Será que alguém teve coragem de perguntar para ele sobre a British Boot Company? Ele não parece muito receptivo para perguntas...
