Andy,
Very nice colors. The threatening weather is a nice touch on the sunlit green pastures. I may have cropped out, or zoomed out to include more of, the rock wall. Thanks.

Fantastic light and lovely colours. The gate post at bottom right is a bit distracting, though.

Again your composition is spot on. It is as I would see it if I were there.
Well done with that Epson!

Really dramatic effect with dark clouds and shady green fields.
Colors are wonderful.

Really nice work here. Very pretty exposure, I love the light on these grass area's. Why are they divided in squares? Typical English..or not so typical ? Anyway, it looks nice. Also like the red topping of bushes on the hill in the distance, nice!
Great details, good overview, POV. Great sharpness too.
The sky adds extra interest to the scene. You should not regret uploading this picture here.
Point of improvement: indeed the gatepost on the lower right corner, the stones are fine, their rough details are well maintained, but the pole is blurred, which I don't like for this shot. Further, just lovely work!

Hi,
Nice one Andy. Great colours. The low sun makes the green glow nicely, looks like a stained glass window. Yes, I would have lost the post. Thanks.
Dougie.

bonjour,
je trouve votre image très intense. Elle est d'une part bien composée, et d'autre part la lumière qui rase les champs est superbe.

Nice shot Andy. I love the slope on each side of the valley, and the depth that it creates in this shot. I did find the post and wall in the foreground to be a bit distracting--don't know what everyone else thinks, but that's my opinion. I've done a workshop for you in which I cropped it a bit. Otherwise, love this shot. Good job.

I was wondering what happened to you and see you have started posting again and I missed some. I picked out this one as we have walked along this lane many times and made a circular, by taking a left, instead of going straight on up to Fryupdale, and then going across the fields and through a grove of ancient holly trees. You finally come out on the road between Lealholm and Danby.
I have tried many time to take a decent photo with Round Hill in, but the light is always wrong as you have to face into the sun. Although there is a bit of oe here, it is minimal and well balanced by the dark clouds. What you have is beautiful light on the fields, with excellent contrast. The idea of leaving in the wall and fence is a good one, but you need a wider DOF and closer focusing point. However I like this image very much.

Hi Andy,
I do like it, it's a lovely shot with some beautiful light and colours on show and the threatening sky adds to the splendour. Enough said about the post bottom right but that aside it's a really fine capture, well spotted.
Regards and have a great Christmas.
Stephen
