Photographer's Note
This is the female Orange tip Butterfly ,Note she has no Orange on the top wing, in fact she looks just like most other white butterflies which is probablt why Ive never seen one before. But having posted the Male the other day,
,and on seeing this one in the same tunnel gave it a closer look , it has the same green mottled pattern on the underside of the wing as the male. I managed to persuade her to sit on a stick instead of my finger and carry her outside where I got just 1 shot of her before she flitted off, which is why its not quiet as sharp as the other one.I followed her round for what seemed like ages trying to get more pics as she layed eggs on wild mustard and bittercress plants around the nusery, which are the catapillars food plants. No luck though as she paused for seconds only, too short a time to get into place let alone focus up a shot. Oh well hope for abetter one next time but thought to show you his mate.

Well, having been away for a while and therefore not having seen the other yet, this one looks sharp and clean to me. Excellent details and colours ;-)

Robert
One sans finger, you must use this prop more often, it really enhances the picture, but I know, they like your finger. Lovely lace-like wings too.

Such a beautiful butterfly. I like the green color in it – in its wings, body and eye. And in the background, too. I like the trees in the background too. Very well composed and captured butterfly shot with great DOF.
