Photographer's Note
With only a few months left of my stay in London, I thought it was time to get some scenic photos of London. No doubt this will be a completely different looking skyline in 20 years time as skyscrapers slowly make their mark on the city.

9 out of 10 skylines Brendan are colour shots where the neon and other city lights make the grandeour. Youve opted for a bnw shot..what was the reason to go bnw. ????
Gives the aesthetic feel...i like it..
Cheers.

it is the same in istanbul... the skyline of the city with all the domes and minarets are threathened by the skyscrapers getting closer and closer to the historical areas... we will have lots of new yorks and hong kongs all around the world soon and this time probably with no real character...
this is a beautiful shot of course, a bit too dark may be on the lower right corner but still great...
all the best to you brendan...

Hi Brendan,
When I saw the photo I thought "Is he leaving soon?", 'cuae tit's the kind of photo people take before they leave ;-)
Beautiful skyline still! Why B&W though?

Hi Brendan,
I really like the panaramic format used, and this is the first B&W cityscape I've seen of London....very effective. You've captured some nice movement in the Thames River which adds some life to the shot. Well done.
Cheers Grant

Hi Brendan, I have a similar shot from that platform you can see on the right of yours. You're right, there certainly is a lot of construction going on around St.Pauls, the cranes are testament to that. The black & white is great. Best regards, Roberto

Hi Brendan. You've created a superb night-time view of London. Excellent tones and reflections. The exposure is perfect, in my opinion, and the letterbox format suits the view ideally.
Regards, Paul.

Nice scenic shot this, Brendan. Black and white works well here and the Thames looks strangely 'picturesque'. Why shoot scenic shots anyway? You have a fine gallery of shots of British life as it is. Keep on being creative and imaginative. If you need scenic shots, buy some postcards!
