Photographer's Note

Regroupant plus de 500 oeuvres de l'artiste, l'exposition Dali Universe du London County Hall est située aux pieds du London Eye, sur la rive sud de la Tamise (South Bank).

Certaines sculptures sont exposées au bord du fleuve, offrant un panorama sur l'architecture, plus conventionnelle, de Westminster et sa célèbre horloge Big Ben.

More than 500 masterpieces from the artist are exposed in the Dali Universe exhibit of the London County Hall, next to the London Eye, on South Bank.

Some sculptures are exposed on the waterfront, offering a view to Westminster, more conventional, architecture, and its famous clock Big Ben.

I love the colors and sharpness in this, one could easily get the impression that you are working on advertising for the Dali Universe exhibit:)
also a good setup with BB in the background, and the sculpture itself is a beautiful piece of art!

Un bon point de vue en trompe l'oeil pour cette scène ! J'aime bien Big Ben que l'on aperçoit au loin et qui malgré sa taille réduite ici, est bien visible !
Avec cette inscription qui attire le regard, on sait de quoi on parle !

This is great with of the most famous clocks in the world, the Ben and the Dali. The perspective here is superb and the composition extraordinary. Well done.

une oeuvre géniale, le tableau avec ces pendules toutes molles est une des images qui m'ont le plus marqué (de ce que je connais de l'art)
belle compo, big ben devient small ben,
une histoire de temps finalement...

Olá JB, nice creative composition with a funny title. It's impressive how a little detail can shinne so much and have such an important role in an image. Ben is perfectly placed and with an excellent dof.

this is an art work, not talking about the sculpture but your image. The color treatment makes me think about that. The inclusion of the big ben on the back was a clever idea. Beautifully well composed. Well done!

A strong picture JB. A deep setting combined with very bright colours like the big-ben in the distance. Very clever composition in your usual style...a very good one, i like it.

Une bonne idée de saisir le contraste entre la rigueur de l'architecture de Westminster et les montres molles de Dali!!
Une très belle réalisation avec cette lumière superbe sur l'arrière plan.

Hi,
très jolie photo avec une texture du bloc "dali" très bien rendu.
Présence discrète de big ben ajoute une belle touche à l'ensemble.

Bien vu ton ppoint de vue ! Big ben au fond et puis cette ouevre d'art molle. Pas facile, à mon sens, de photographier ce genre d'oeuvre.Mais là, tu as su créer de l'horizon et ton traitement couleur dynamise vraiment l'ensemble.

Hi JB,

Interesting how the Big Ben comes together with the Dalí sculpture. At first, I was wondering whether you had layered two shots together but reading your note I see you were lucky there with all the exhibits. First the Gibson guitars and now Dalí! You end up in London at the right time for sure :-)

Hello JB,

An impressive photograph featuring a well composed FG and BG. The distant Big Ben is beautifully lit in the soft orange light. Dali died a few days after I was born. I admire his work, for pushing the boundaries of what was considered art. I have seen a similar statue in Sydney, Australia. Your white framing technique is similar to mine, I like it a lot. You were lucky to have a decent sky also. This image would also look good in black and white, and if lit would appear striking at night. Well done, JB.
