Photographer's Note

I take this photo at the heights of khalkhal-Esalem road at the border of Ardabil and Gilan provinces of IRAN. The weather was very cold and windy and I take this photo using my big monfrotto tripod.

Great photo Aref! I love the peaceful mood of the scene. Don't know why, but mist and fog always carry that feeling to ones mind. Love what you were able to produce with those three subtle hues of blue. And that layered composition is very thoughtful. That horizontal line of dark trees is amazing. A very beautiful work! Be very welcome to TE.

PS. Next time, please write a note either describing the place or your feelings about the photo itself (or both). We like to know a bit about it and there are some TE members that just don't critique photos without notes. After all, this is learning the world through photography. Share is the key point around.

Hi, Aref! Mist and mountain are always beautiful and your image is wonderful. We do not feel the wind; the image is calm and peaceful.

Hello Aref,
Here is fine picture with an unbelieveble landscape, and it should have gaines many mor points for sure, it probably slipped through. Smoke, mist or fog, and clouds are always ingrediants to produce striking photographs, but here you also have a splendid row of different layers. I particularly enjoy the black trees between two layers of mist.

A very beautiful photo with great job at DOF and capturing the composition of the fog. I would say it has worth all the effort setting this up in the cold.
