On the way back from Turkey and crossing the Razi land border, we entered Iran. We took a taxi to Tabriz airport. On the way to the bridge, the driver saw the camera in my hand and asked me if I wanted to photograph the bridge, to which I replied in the affirmative.

Bridge (Ghator)
Ghator Bridge is a bridge built on the Iran-Turkey railway near (Khoy). The construction of this bridge was completed in 1970. This bridge is of sub-arched type and had the largest arch span among the bridges in Iran for a long time. The bridge was also hit by Iraqi rockets during the Iran-Iraq war. Fortunately, the Iraqi rockets did not hit the bridge and hit the bridge. The bridge's engineer is said to be a Swedish woman.
This bridge is located 20 km southwest of the city (Khoy) and in the border area of the city (Ghator) in the province of West Azerbaijan. Today, the thick bridge is also considered as a tourist attraction.
Bridge features
The bridge was built in 1968 by two Iranian companies (Rankin) and an Austrian company (Pour) and its concrete foundations were built and its steel frame and chassis were built by the Americans.
The length of this bridge is 448 meters, the length of the metal ark of the bridge is 223 meters and its height above the river (Ghator) is 118.28 meters. It is towards the city (Razi) and has a total of 8 openings that are extended in an X-to-X direction.
The color of this metal bridge was red in the past and it was painted earthy during the Iran-Iraq war to camouflage the Iraqi air strike. Wikipedia

The bridge is impressive, but the dramatic scenery means much as much for the effect of the view. Your taxi driver really did you a favour by asking if you wanted to take a picture here.

Hello Ali,
This viewpoint shows this bridge so well, spanning in between the slopes. The structure stands out very well from the blue sky as well and was lit by a pleasant sunlight.

A good upward pov on this attractive arched rail bridge. Fortunately the Iraqi rockets missed. Good sharpness and the arch makes a nice frame of the bg hills. Tfs!
