Photographer's Note

I am cheating here by posting three images in one, but there is a reason for it. It is impossible to convey the beauty of these tiled mosque domes in Iran with a single shot as it would be to convey the genius of a composer by playing just one musical phrase.

If I am to post one overall shot of the dome, or a closeup, or a sunlit part, then it is only a partial impression. So I tried to combine three different impressions into one delivery.

I am not happy with this effort as I have seen incredible shots of the same dome at sunset, with blood red skies, golden setting sun and the dome in the foreground. But I was there on an overcast afternoon and this is the best I could do.
