Photographer's Note

A general view from the second floor of the White Palace, Sa'd Abad royal comlex, Tehran.
The Palace was built under direct supervision of Shah Reza Pahlavi, the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty and modernization in Iran. It took 4 years, from 1935 to 1939 to complete the building.
The architecture is mostly affected by the Bizenthian style, especially the pillars and the facade.
It consists of 2 main floors and a large basement that contains the royal cinema hall. The building was repaired in late 1960s, during the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, supervised directly by his queen, Farah Pahlavi who was interested in French classic style, so the Palace went under a great change in its interior design. This Amazing Palace was used for Royal ceremonies and celebrations, mostly in summer and so many embassadors and politicians were recieved by the Shah in this place.
Above the hall, there are 4 amazing paintings of Persian mythical stories by famous Iranian miniaturists.
Following the revolution of 1979, this palace was changed into a museum and its name was changed into : The People's museum or " MUZEYE MELLAT"
