My Intro to Israel, Day 2, Scene 5

... at the Dead Sea before we go back down to the entrance. We are approximately at an altitude of -240 m (or -790 feet). Yes, you read that correctly, minus two-hundred-forty meters! The Dead Sea itself is at 423 meters (1,388 ft) below sea level, so at 240 meters below sea level, we look quite elevated.

The mountain range across the lake is the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

... tekrar aşağıya, girişe dönmeden önce Ölü Deniz’e. Biz yaklaşık -240 m (veya -790 ayak) yükseklikteyiz. Evet, doğru okudunuz, eksi iki-yüz-kırk metre! Ölü Deniz’in kendisi deniz seviyesinin altında 423 metredir (1,388 ayak), deniz seviyesinin altında 240 metrede oldukça yüksek görünüyoruz.

Gölün öbür tarafındaki dağ silsilesi Ürdün Haşimi Krallığı’dır.

Hi Murat,
Nice view of the Dead Sea. I like the tree with the silvery water behind. And haven't you had the bath? Or maybe later, in other place? It is fine attraftion, specially when you are also with mud. On my way to Syria a few years ago, I went on the other side.

I reckon there is a relatively new trail on this ridge and just above the small cave, Murat, you had used this to take a wonderful Dead-sea scenery.
Marvelous focal point with the green small grove, contrast brown hills against the shining slat lake of Israel.
Well managed with the strong daylight. Cheers.

Hi Murat,

Amazing to think of the natural phenomenon of being below sea level...you must have needed to stand on a chair to take this shot...reach for it. :) The water looks incredibly inviting with that turquoise color set against the rocks. If I didn't know any different, this picture could pass for somewhere in Greece. A fine view to see of the Dead Sea. lol Enjoy the rest of the evening. Take care.

I can feel the unbearable heat and the extreme high colour temp there, but you did you best with this minimal shot.. Bit of green obviously is lively to vigourise the whole capture. Well done, tfs

a not good light and a kind of haze that not help so much to make photos, anyway in such conditions you did a nice image showing this place that isn't nothing usual in our world. a place I want to know someday. TFS.
