MASADA PANORAMA, a photo from Beer Sheva, Southern

Photographer's Note

Masada is a symbol of of resistance for Jews, after a rebellion against Rome a group of religious Jews took control of this fort, built by Herodes, the Great. They resisted up there for some time and in 73 the Romans built a ramp and invaded the fort. It is told everybody committed suicide before Romans entered in the fort, anyway no one skeleton was found up there.
Here we can see the Dead Sea ahead, the lower place on earth.

Masada é um símbolo da resistência judaica. Depois da rebelião dos judeus contra os romanos um grupo de judeus muito religiosos invadiu este forte, erguido por Herodes, o Grande, no topo de uma alta montanha. Os romanos cercaram o forte no ano 73, fizeram uma rampa e depois de muitos meses entraram. Diz a história que todos lá dentro se suicidaram antes da chegada dos soldados romanos, mas os arqueólogos nunca encontraram esqueletos lá em cima.

Very vary scene and it's brilliant that you included the structure on the left. Incredible sharpness and detail too, I can zoom right in to the man standing on the structure. Very cool

Hello Jorge, Very wide panorama seen from Masada. We can see here the Dead See. Impressive view from the cable car station. Amazing place, how could they build all this, I wonder.

A beautiful panorama photo of this barren landscape and the famous Dead Sea in the background. The division between the blue parts and the land is very nice.
