Photographer's Note
While in the top of Masada we can see around the desert, Dead Sea, the dry mountains and these bases of ancient Roman camps, used when Masada was besieged, you can see the huge ramp they built, using Jew slaves, to reach the top of the fort and put their hands in the rebel Jews up there.

Quando estamos no topo de Masada podemos ver o deserto, o Mar Morto, as montanhas e estas fundações dos acampamentos erguidos pelos romanos quando sitiaram Masada. Podemos ver ainda a rampa que eles fizeram, usando escravos judeus, para alcançar o topo do forte e apanhar os judeus que lá estavam amotinados.

I generally prefer to keep my landscape photos free of people. In this instance I think having something, or someone, in the image would have helped to provide a sense of scale.

The trees and dry watercourse provide some scale in this superb aerial shot of the historic site. The rectangular outline of the battleground is clearly visible. Good sharpness but perhaps a little more contrast and more shadows. Tfs!
