Photographer's Note
We are back from our Israel trip. After a full day's rest, I am getting over my jet lag. As my first photo from the trip, I wanted to upload one that represents my photographic experience overall. From among the 2678 photos I took, I chose this one because photographically speaking, the trip was a blur. We spent a lot of time on a bus, being schlepped* from place to place with hardly enough time for any decent photos. Travelling with a group, I found myself competing with others for a decent POV, constantly dodging others to get a clear shot of my subject. So, this photo has all the elements: It is blurry, taken from a bus with a head in the way.
It was taken on our descent into the Dead Sea, having just passed the sea level mark. In the distance is the Dead Sea, the lowest region in the world (427 m below sea level).
*to schlep: to drag, to haul, from Yiddish.

Hey Murat,
Welcome home, glad to have you back among the TE ranks. Thanks for the laughs, points for using the word "schlepped." :) Perhaps not the technically strongest of pictures, but I love that it represents exactly what you want to convey...and frankly, that means more than fulfilling image details. Still, a nice sense of movement and that on-the-go activity. Looking forward to following along this journey with you. Back to reality. :) Take it easy.
Friendly wishes,
Jason

Hi Murat
Sit back and relax after the hectic experience so you are more less fully charged by now, and that sounds great! Interesting notes and can fully understand your situation & difficulty to get decent shots initially, but this is a good infor capture to begin with. Having that guy there makes this a strong base of a well thoughtout compo, exposure looks evenly distributed but we can almost feel the depth by the mist and good layering of colours too. This summed up the moody day of this area nicely. Excellent, tfs

Hello Murat,
So you went also to Israel - directly from Turkey? Travelling with a group? No, I do not like it, as you say, difficult to make nice photos when the people ar all time around and you must follow the guide. Schlepped around - funny. Much better is to travel alone. 2678 photos - haha what a precision and not so much photos.
Interesting impression from the bus. I saw that you met Ike. The meetings are for me very important parts of every trip.
Warm regrads MAlgo

Bonjour, Murat,

Hi Murat,
Glad to have you back safe and sound.
You put it across well your feelings, both in words and the picture. Nothing worse than seeing what you want to take a shot of and to have people just getting in the way with no thought of others.
Regards Arnie.

First impression of the descending road bellow sea-level, Murat, the area of the Dead-sea is not an easy going scenery for every tourist - one can adjust after a while though.
Hope to see more of this beautiful desert area.

Hello Murat, it's not easy to take pictures in a bus moving, the dead sea appears in the bg below sea level in a huge depression
