Hi Daniel,
Nice close up and portrait of a crock. The blue speckles, probably a result of lighting from the top or perhaps saturation? (the latter does not look likely) gives the crock an "electrifying" and forbidding look.

Nice shot, good 'pose' as far as you can speak of this animal 'posing', but well timed. The eye makes it look terrifying.
Sharpness and DOF are fine.
I don't like the blue light.
