Photographer's Note
A short visit to Jerusalem this morning, managed a number of pictures, but due to backlight of a strong bright daylight that is prevailing this time of any year, did not enable me the desired POV's from where I wanted to show this.
Here is a view of the old walls with the known Tower of David (A wikipedia page attached).
A RAW converted into JPEG, view due SE.
Location on map: 31.7765, 35.2283 .

Hello Ike,
I had a dream that I also in Jeruzalem once would come, but I am to old now!
A lovely city with all the old and history building or ruins.
Pleasant panorama view about the area.
An excellent composition with depth and perspective.
Very well done, TFS.
Have nice afternoon,
John

Hello Ike,
A different and original presentation of the tower of the citadel between the many flags.
I read something about a light festival. Did you attend it?
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ike,
Good to see a new upload from you. Excellent color, sharpness, and saturation. The cylindrical tower at left is an instant focal point. The fluttering flags and pennants add life to the scene. Tfs.

Hi Ike,
The flags are helping to frame the tower. The point of view is showing the details of the Tower of David. A good management of the strong light which does not hurt the output of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Ike, Even during a short visit to Jerusalem you made probably nice photos, so I am looking forward for seeing them. Interesting view with these flags about light festival. Nice round tower, I wonder if one can climb it and see the view. I suppose I was twice in a museum near this tower, in night and in a day, but it was such a long time ago and I have no photos. Near the big gate. Fascinating town, Jerusalem. I was with a group but I left it and walked alone everywhere.
Warm regards MAlgo

Hello Ike,
It may not be from the POV you wanted, but it is still a lovely photo. I like the repeating patterns of the flags.

Hello Ike,
I found the combination of modern flags and the ancient tower most interesting. It was like the new welcoming and celebrating the old.
We have two approaches in the shot; first there is the view of the tower between the welcoming flags, then there is the extended view, along the walls, into the distance.
I think I would have cropped the flag on the extreme right as it does not seem to contribute to the shot as whole and it spoils the combination of 'three' a perfect number for composition. Otherwise I like it a lot.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hola Ike, I had a photo of the tower from the ramparts, here you managed a good, original composition, framing it with the hanging flags
Well, done, regards

Wonderfully colorful picture, Ike, with these tall banners. I remember the very spot from several of my visits to Jerusalem.

Hi Ike,
I think it is quite funny that some of us fight with a very strong light while other hope to get some sunlight at all :) Saying that we may have couple of sunny days coming, maybe even 2 or three and promised temperatures may reach even 18 degrees tomorrow! I think we will go to the beach :)
I know what you are talking about -my last visit to Cyprus was so difficult: the light really strong and colors often washed out.
Still if the subject is interesting it is worth to share here.
Jerusalem with such a rich history is always very interesting to see.
Except for the tower of course, I like the flags as they have some inscriptions in foreign alphabet which I always find very attractive,
Very well seen and captured,
M

Hello Ike,
I think that the banners are a little too many and too imposing in this monumental site, but you found an interesting idea to include them in your composition. The angle of the light was certainly challenging but the clarity and depth you achieved are superb. I like the simple lines of this ancient, solid architecture, the texture of the stonework against the smooth sky looks wonderful. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Hello Ike,
nice the view as the presentation of the tower of David as dominating on the scene and on the walls surround the castle. The colourful flags i think that weaken the beauty of the historical monument.
Have a good day,Danos

Hi Ike
Sometimes it is very hard to find good light and show the beauty of the most interesting place because of being electric wires, flags etc...Anyway you got very good angle to shot. Very good job. GREETIGS, Salih.

Hi Ike
I like the link that you provided, it was quite helpful to see the overview of the city and the walls.
Perhaps that was the view you were wanting to show as well? But the lighting wasn't in your favor i guess.
and of course without clouds to buffer the strong lighting, makes it that much more difficult too.
I kind of get the feeling SO much has changed, yet there's also SO much that remains the same from years past long ago.
we do get a good sense of the wall and the Tower though. thanks for this one.
Cheers
Craig
