Photographer's Note

Masjid-Ul-Haram is the greatest and the holiest place of worship of muslims in the world. In the center of it, a cubic stone building (6x6x6 metre ) called Ka'bah is situated which was built by Prophet Abraham and his son about 3000 years ago. All the muslims in any place on the earth, face toward Ka'bah for their daily ritual prayers. Masjid-Ul-Haram was first built around Ka'bah about 1400 years ago but it has been extended enormously in last 40 years. Currently its area is about 360000 sq metres and can accomodate 330000 people. The building has 95 gates out of which 5 are the main ones.
The picture shows a veiw of Malik_AbdulLAziz gate. The towers, or minaret, beside the gate are 92 metrs high.

this is really a great shot with the night and the lights very balanced. Also the people in so small size compared with the whole place gives the grandiosity of this monument.

Hi Amir, it's a superb photo that shows which beautiful achievements can be created by Muslim believers. Your framing as well as the light and the colors are superb, the many people around show how important the place is and your note is superb too.

Hello Amir! Really really beautiful! I like the contrasts dark sky, the lighty places with people at the bottom, the minarets. It's not easy to take pictures by nihght but in this case it's sharp with good exposure. Congrat!

This is an excellent night shot. I really like the contraste between the well-lit plaza where you can see details of all the activity going on and the dark sky at the top where only the towers stand out.
An this is a seldom seen place too!

The Masjid-Ul-Haram stands so brights against the dark Arabian night that I had an illusion of a snowy winter for a second. (Can you believe that? ;-)) Both the PoV and the colors are excellent in this nighttime shot. However, it might benifit from a little sharpening.

very nice photo ... the vertical direction helps the viewer to understand the greatness of the place ... the colorful clothes of muslim walking in & out is so cool too ...
