The castle of Aleppo has a great historical importance.That was a living castle up to middle of this century,but afterwards the locals moved out and the castle did go under renovation.It was a lovely castle to go round.But because of war,its probably suffered some damages,its a shame really.This is the main entry to the castle.

Quite an uneasiness seeing a photo from Aleppo, after all that i have seen, heard and read about this city under siege and others too, the war, the bloodshed i can understand, but the destruction of historical sites, old mosques etc is very confusing, are they trying to re-write history..

i can feel the cold stone on the ground, i think you share all your photos from Syria, give this site something else to appreciate and talk about, not just pretty nature photos..
