THE FIELDS OF THE DEATH, a photo from Al Qunaytirah, South

Photographer's Note

This is a typical landscape of the Golan Heights. In fact I feel like crossing a dead zone, no people, no animals, some few plantations, some military buildings, dry herbs, isolated trees, dams..
In this region there are many mined areas left by Syrian army. They are signaled by yellow placards. In this area we can see an area I guess was "cleaned" at side of one wasn't.

Esta é uma típica paisagem das Colinas de Golã. Na verdade eu senti como se estivesse cruzando uma zona morta. Campos áridos, sem pessoas, sem animais, com árvores isoladas, grama seca, poucas plantações, alguns edifícios militares, represas..
Nesta região existem ainda muitos campos minados e eles são marcados por cercas e placas amarelas. Aqui vemos uma área que creio eu, foi "limpa" ao lado de outra ainda com as minas.

L'on dirait qu'il existe deux zones distinctes !

A sad view of this minefield, I guess the landscape would have looked so much more beautiful if it hadn’t such a terrible story attached to it. It is a clear photo of the place in a fine light, it tells the story quite well.

Arid, hostile and somewhat desolate it may appear but it does have its own kind of uniqueness. Lovely depth of colour in particular blue sky & earthy tone with row of trees showing sign of life. Excellent feel of the place that you have captured to the utmost, Congrats

A disturbing view of this Syrian minefield. Good sharpness and a stark contrast between the cleared bare exposed earth at left and the uncleared grassy minefield at right. Tfs!
