Boztepe, a photo from Trabzon, Black Sea

I almost decided not to post this as the strong backlight has not really done this scenic Boztepe
lookout any justice. Boz = grey, tepe = hill in Turkish. The hill is apparently grey in late summer months when the grass is all burnt off by the dry hot summer sun.

But I thought it was still a good daily life scene of a typical family group enjoying the late afternoon in a park with tea gardens and balcony lookouts high above hazy Trabzon city and the Black Sea below.

Hello Chris,
I have been to Trabzon a few times but I didn't find this place. Even though the light isn't totally perfect it's a great view of the city and the sea far below. The persons enjoying their meals don't pay any attention to the view but they have probably seen it many times before. They provided you with a perfect foreground anyway.
I often hesitate until the last moment before I upload certain photos. Sometimes I decide to post it in spite of bad quality because the composition as such is more important to me. That was the case today.

Chris, that terrace belongs to a cafe dominating the town. The view is breathtaking from that place. Nice global view showing all the town roofs. The houses were built on a hilly terrain. That family is maybe having lunch. Good sharpness.

L'étendue de cette partie de la ville crée de la profondeur. Tu as bien capturé une scène quotidienne de la vie où des personnes profitent d'un bon repas. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

Boztepe in Trabzon is really one of the best corners of the city from where you can get a perfect impression about the city.
Your capture is perfect with its pov and sharpness. The group here at the tea time completes your compo perfectly.

Hello Chris, I like this point of view; we see the people enjoying time together over a meal, and what a wonderful view in the background. You are really quite high up.

Hi Chris,
the Black Sea appears quite white here but it is a stunning view.
Someone had a great idea to set up the tables here, what a great place to sit down and relax having such a spectacular view at your feet.
Of course the light conditions were quite challenging here but the location compensates for it and the final effect is stunning,

a special spot to enjoy large views of the town in many aspects. nice view of the family and curious the name of this famous brand of ice crean (I sell it here too) at each country it has a different name, in brazil it is names kibon (what good!)

these type of scenes are great, where you can fill out the bg with an entire city view, while we have a completely different subject upfront and centre. and you're right, the lighting wasn't in your favour, but its the overall view that makes it work so well. cheers
