Photographer's Note
We are looking at the northwestern portion of the parapet of Ekmekçizade Ahmet Paşa Bridge. It looks like someone got hold of killer paint.

Hi Murat
A very confusing English language message although the main anti0fascist message is clear. Interesting photo with the WS probably being better.
cheers

Ciao Murat, this is unfortunately one of the many acts of vandalism that we see all over the world and it is very annoying when done on ancient or precious areas, even the threatening phrase is not the best of beauty ... on the other hand you still show us a nice view of the fake door on the bridge in the WS made with the usual excellent quality. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hi Murat,
I am surprised to see that the graffiti in Turkey are in English. Maybe they are made by foreigners or for the foreigners.
I am not sure whether I understand the message but I suppose it is better that some countries use a paint against imaginary fascists rather than invading another country and leveling it to the ground while killing civilians...
Nice reportage,
M

Hi Murat
It also seems as though Erdogan is not universally popular, as the majority of the under 30 crowd don't like him. His fan base appears to be in the older over 55 rural conservative people of Turkey. Hope you found some more artistic graffiti? Tfs.

Hello Murat,
I guess if a fascist drinks several glasses of this paint he (or even she) might die. Otherwise it's a strange message. This is the most original of today's two photos, but the WS is nicer.
As for my photo from Amasra, it's just a peninsula.
Best regards,
Gert

looks like the phrase are not dedicated to the locals, but only for the visitors, or to be not understood by the police.

Hi Murat,
The graffiti refers to the great folk singer Woody Guthrie of the USA. During World War 2, and some time before, Woody Guthrie had the words "This machine kills fascists" written on his guitar. At the time the USA was at war with the fascist regimes of Italy, Germany and Japan, so it was a patriotic slogan. But Woody was also a socialist and therefore opposed to fascism in general, and wrote songs in support of the working class and unemployed people in the USA.
