Mechanics XX, a photo from Mersin, Mediterranean

Photographer's Note

This photo was taken at ”TIRMIL Automobile Repair Center” Mersin when I had met with Bugraa (Oguzhan Kurt) and mrtcck (Murat Cicek). In these place all kind of cars are repaired. Nikkormat FTn is another my new full frame camera.

Mechanics serisinin hala devam etmesine sevindim. Sayenizde inanılmaz görsel zevkler yaşadık. Bu da serinin diğer kareleri gibi çok güzel. Çocuğun yüz ifadesi ve arka planda alet panosu çok güzel durmuş.

I just noticed that you have gone back to film!
Excellent shot of the mechanic. I love the way you framed him with his tools behind, suitably blurred but still cleaar enough to recognise. You say no flash, but your light source is good with warm tones on his face.

this one fits to your men at works series but it is not my favorite because it is way too posed I prefer the ones where you shoot the people in action. That being said, it is a technically well taken portrait.

Merhaba Ali Riza, another excellent portrait in a surprising creative framing. The dirt of the place and his shirt contrast with the tidy arrangement of the composition and set of tools in the background. Everything fits perfectly here.

Merhaba Ali Riza,

Çok güzel bir portre, ve çocugun fotograf için poz verdigi bence bir problem degil. Eski yagli boya portrelerinde he zaman bir poz verirlerdi, ve o mesur ressamlar gibi çocugun bir gözü (burada sag gözü) tam fotografin karenin ortasinda (yukarda asagi çizgi karey ikiye bölüyor). Arkasinda ki aletlerin bulunmasi da, burasi bir otomobil tamircisi oldugunu belli ediyor. Ben bu fotografi çok beyendim dogrusu.
