I took this picture at MahmutPasa district, near Kapali Carsi region at European part of Istanbul. The fruits placed in front of man who sell juice of pomegranates.

I have lots of pomegranates in my backyard, they are like a plague here cause a seed produce another plant easily. Anyway its fruits aren't so beautiful like tese ones. Good Photo, the pattern of the fruits are very nice to see but I would crop more. Maybe I will do a WS.

Hi nedim and welcome to our community. Your first post is very interesting, I love the look of the cut fruit. I wish you went in a bit closer, much closer. It would have much more impact.

welcome nedim...and a good first entry

a note on the origins of the pomme de granada...would have gotten you some marks in that area :)
good colourful and interesting shot but a bit marred by the yellow sign..words in a picture usually take first attention so if the shot is not of a sign..leave them out..including names on borders.

Oh, I love this fruit,it is delicious and also a beautiful motif. If we buy them here in Sweden, they unfortunately do not look juicy like this, probably because they are picked and transported too early.
Lovely picture! I visited Istanbul first time in 1968, it is a very special city.

Orijinal bir resim. Narlarin renkleri hakikaten muhtesem. Amerikadan saygilarimla,
In English, I feel nostalgia for Istanbul and the Covered Bazaar in seeing these pomegranate. I am, however, coming to Istanbul to give a talk at the Rahmi Koc Museum on Nov. 23rd, so there is some comfort.
