Photographer's Note
I took this picture just a few seconds before this one and the place is the same, Van Lake and Mount Süphan (both on top left corner) in Eastern Turkey, near the Iranian border.

Hello Laurent,
A good photograph of this well eroded landscape, and even if you were behind glass you have managed to capture a great quality of depth and distance from this point of view. What I like is the fact that the distant cloud could be mistaken for a mountain range capped with snow, with a bit of imagination. You quality in the photo allows us to see the lake beyond the hills, and with it you have captured some good vibrant colours. I may have incorporated a little more sky in the image, but I feel this is not crucial as your main focus in surely on the mountains and lake. Well presented.

This is another great aerial photo. The ground must be at very high altitude as it seams quite close to the aircraft. Excellent colours all the way up even in the misty blue area. Well done.

Hi Laurent,
this photo is perfect to see the strange relief of the land down there! From this perspective we can see the slopes with perfect lights and shadows. Wonderful "earthy" colors ...

I prefer this photo over your last post, as the ground is very interesting. So barren, there isn't anything the eye can see that would resemble civilization. A successfull shot from the airplane.

I wonder how high these mountains are. It doesn't look at all that you're at 10km altitude. The texture of the ground is almost palpable and it is nice to see the lake in the mist. By the incidence of light and knowing that you were flying southeast I have to assume that this shot must have been done somewhere around 14-17h.

Hello Laurent,
For sure an impressive shot and composition! The never ending feeling of the perspective is what I enjoy most to your photograph. And the light, well handled adding a lot to the atmosphere with many levels till the far white clouds...
Have a nice weekend,

Dear Laurent
Not as dramatic as your earlier two posts, but excellent nonetheless. The landscape shows marks of rivers or rivulets creating these fantastic patterns. The mountain in the BG & the clouds in the horizon are spectacular. Bravo for your research once again!

Bonjour Laurent,

Amicalement,
Josep
