An alien colony in Canada or an Olympic staduim? You decide...

This is part of the complex used for the 1976 Montreal Olympics. Although these olympics were most widely known for an African boycott and widespread drug allegations, the standart of completion was very high and several unprecendented records were set. Although the buildings themselves were also marred in a scandal of cost overruns and suspected corruptions, as well as some engineering deficiencies, the modern architercture is nonetheless stunning.

This photo was taken from an inclined elevator rising on a tower that holds the roof of the main stadium (which is not seen from the elevator as it is on the opposite side).
