4:30 in the morning, that's the safe time to wake-up if you don't want to miss the amazing sunrise over the Perce Rock at this period of the year. It's among the most beautiful thing if seem so far, unfortunately my picture does not make justice to all its beauty.

You catch the time and place for this, it's very hard to tell where the sun gonna go up because in the different part of the year is raising from different places. Perfect done

Não creio que tenhas razão quando dizes que a foto não faz justiça à beleza da cena. Para mim é uma imagem admirável e a única coisa ligeiramente diferente que eu teria feito era ter clonado aquele risco na areia. Está muito linda.

Flavia,
bla bla bla ... "... picture doesn't make justice to all its beauty". What else do you expect? You got the little fraction of the moment where the sun was looking through the hole in the rock and what else do you want? The placement of the rock is nicely off center, the colors are vibrant and you even got some reflections of the sun on the sea. Perfect and stop whining!

If your photo does not do justice, then the real thing must be phenomenal, because your image is fantastic. Amazing sky colors, silvery reflection on the surface of the water, the rock well placed within the frame. Well done.

Hi Flavia, I admire the patience and must've taken a lot of studying to take this shot and choose this very early hour.I first thought it's light coming from a light house. I'm just curious what that big outcrop is, some kind of island interestingly rising vertically out of the shore. Nicely painted early morning easterly horizon. Thanks fro sharing...Alex

é uma magnífica imagem, daquelas que perdemos algum tempo e ficamos imaginando estar lá. Por que sua imagem não faz justiça? Claro que ao vivo sempre é melhor, mas creio que você tenha conseguido trazer tudo o que há de bom no cenário. Acordou mais cedo e valeu a pena. Parabéns!

Só entendo essa frase no sentido de não haver nada que substitua estar no próprio local, sentir o vento e o cheiro da maresia, ver o primeiro instante em que o sol começa a surgir, ver o último raio no rochedo.
Quanto à foto, está quase perfeita. Melhor talvez só sem o "risco" avermelhado na areia, ou eventualmente com um céu mais bonito.

essa foi no momento exato mesmo, e achei bem interessante esse efeito estrela que você consgeuiu, foi algum filro, pois imagino que não usou tripé para poder fechar o diafragma.

Wonderful capture Flvia, timing is perfect as you know and the sunrise through the arch is probably not something seen every day. Colors and crisp focus are great as is the overall shot.

One that I missed.
