Photographer's Note
There was a community picnic this past Easter Sunday. Here one of the elders is cutting a piece of raw caribou to nibble on. It is really good if dipped in soya sauce. This day it was -30C so I think the soya would have frozen. Later, they had a feast at the community centre with lots of "country food." There I found some soya to have with my caribou.

Hi Vera,
A good daily life from your community, perfect sharpness to see all the details. Maybe too much cropped on the top.

Ah, nice touch desaturating the background, I didn't notice this at first, but it is helpful in highlighting your subject in this situation. Excellent note, and too bad the weather was so bitter for the annual picnic. You sure do get involved. BTW, congratulations also on having your photo published in News North! I was thrilled to find it there a couple of weeks ago reading the paper on the plane south! Well done, hope you are getting out and getting more good photos, although if like here, the weather has been a bit 'white' lately.
