In this photo you can see how an ulu, a tradional Inuit knife, is used to skin a seal. This knife is mainly used by women. The meat from this seal was being used to feed a dog team. The skin itself will be used to mae a pair of boots.

Having difficulty in seeing what is an ulu, I did a workshop where the brightnes was inceased up to 100% and now I have a good idea what an ulu is. (Jean-Pierre)

Very informational photo. I'm glad you showed us an ulu in use.My dad bought me a touristy ulu on his last fishing trip to alaska,I've never actually used it though. Thanks for sharing some of your culture with us!
