Chateau Frontenac and the colors of autumn. A magnificent castle-like structure with copper turrets and stone towers, Chateau Frontenac is more than 100 years old and it is a historic landmark of Quebec City. Situated on top of the Cap Diamant Cliffs in the heart of the old walled city. Chateau Frontenac overlooks the Saint Lawrence River.

Great image, very smart way to present this very often photographed objective in an original way. The maple leaf framing is excellent. Very good first posting.

This is one of the most beautiful shots of Chateau Frontenac that I have seen here on this site. It is perfectly framed with these beautifully coloured leaves. It's just a slight pity that the Chateau wasn't bigger - but this is a small point. Well done.

Bienvenu sur TE Gaétan! Belle prise du Chateau, peut-être que les feuilles sont un peu trop grosses versus le Chateau, a mon goût, j'aurais coupé un peu le haut de l'image de façon de mettre le Chateau plus en évidence...Gaétan

Spectacular view of the chateau. The use of the beautiful fall foliage as a frame to this shot is great. And the exposure is very good throughout. The sky, the buildings and the trees are all perfect. Nice sharpness, too. And that sky is perfect. All together it captures the best of the season. The colors, the light, the crisp air. All in this one view. I just wish it was larger. Great job!

Il y a des tonnes de photos sur TrekEarth ... et de celles-ci, un nombre incroyable montrent le Château de Québec.

Toutefois, celle-ci apporte un regard nouveau. Le premier élément : l'encadrement de feuilles, une couleur somptueuse qui ne s'attrappe que pendant un court laps de temps. Ce cadre place très bien le Château décentré. Aussi, les nuages créent un motif dans un ciel qui serait banal et fade s'il n'était que bleu.

La photographie du chateau Frontenac est splendide, je ne l'ai jamais vu de cet angle, les couleurs sont magnifiques et la lumière sur le chateau est parfaite. Je publierai une photo du pont de l'île d'Orléan qui a un peu les caractéristiques de votre image...

The POV angle and framing with the maple leaves is very original. DOF is exceptional for f4.2. Its nice and sharp and the contrast is very good.

Superbe composition Gaetan.You manged to find a unique angle for your shot of the Chateau Frontenac...not any easy task for this very touristy subject.The framing with the leaves adds a special touch,as do the clouds.

L'angle choisit est superbe, c'est la première fois que je le vois photographier ainsi. Le château Frontenac est si souvent photographier qu'il est intéressant de le voir différent. L'avant plan créé par le feuillage orange est superbe. Le château est placé au 2/3 c'est une formule gagnante. Le ciel est réussi. Bravo.

Everything already has been said about this photo, I really don't have anything to add other than to say you created original photo of this often photographed castle. Well done.
Perhaps cloning out that dead branch in the middle may be an idea, other than that just perfect.

C'est superbement cadré Gaetan. Les feuilles créant un cadre qui entoure le château. C'est une des photos les plus originals sur le chateau Frontenac qui m'a été permis de voir sur TreakEarth. Le contraste entre le ciel et les feuilles est très joli et bien rendu par la photo.

Une des plus belle photo du château que j'ai vu jusqu'à présent! Une prise de vue qui sort vraiment de l'ordinaire! Le cadrage est magnifique et rehausse énormément le sujet principal avec une grande qualité de lumière.
