Photographer's Note
"The Photo Session"
These bronze statues by sculptor J. Seward Johnson Jr. are located in Queen Elizabeth Park on top of Little Mountain in the center of Vancouver. The park is one of the largest parks in the region encompassing 130 acres of land. At 550 feet above sea level, it is one of the highest points overlooking downtown. The landscape was once desolate and mostly untouched until the suggestion was made to transform the area into gardens. In 1939, it was dedicated by Queen Elizabeth I and her husband King George during their visit to Vancouver and named in the Queen's honor.

Hi Betty,
what a nice place. I never saw a sculture of turists. The colors and poins of view is great. And I like a lot the background showing the city nicely.
Well done.

Hello Betty,
"Shooting the photographer," I believe is always a timely image, but when the photographer and his subjects are all made of bronze, it is even more interesting. I am embarrassed I missed this excellent photo before you took a sabbatical from Trekearth. Seward Johnson is a extraordinarily talented and productive sculptor, considering, as an heir of the Johnson and Johnson fortune, I don't think he had to work to make a living. His massive creation, "Awakening," inspired by the Rip Van Winkle story, adorns Washington Harbor on the Potomac.
Warm regards,
Bulent
I hope you will return from your sabbatical to give us such memorable photos.
