Photographer's Note

Founded in 1779 at 2750 meters above sea level, Real de Catorce was one of the most important mining towns in New Spain, during the colonial period, having its own mint house. Currently is a small town of about 1500 inhabitants, with many abandoned houses, but with a high tourist activity.
