Photographer's Note

this scanned shot of the Urique canyon in Mexico reminds me of a great trip. The Urique canyon is the deepest canyon (1879m) in the Sierra Tarahumara. Most people travel by train through the Copper Canyon, the largest canyon system in North America. They only get a glimpse of 3 of the 7 major canyons.
I took this shot from the Mirador de la Mesa de Arturo, near Ceracahui where we stayed for several days, exploring the area. from the mirador you can see the river and the town of Urique.
