Cemetery Maya, a photo from Chiapas, Southeast

Photographer's Note

No sadness here, all is painted colours sharp. The cemetery has two parts that of the bottom being reserved for the burial of the person deceased. At the end of 4 years, the remainders of late are moved in the principal part of the cemetery, that which be decorated. This transfer gives place to festivities in the honour of disappeared.

Ces tombes sont vraiment surprenantes. Elles ne sont vraiment pas larges. Les couleurs empêchent de donner trop de tristesse à ce lieu. Elles resemblent à de petitis autels, avec ces fenêtres qui ouvrent sur des niches.
C'est une vue intéressante.

Another colourful image from Mexico, that I appreciate very much. If one believe in life in Heaven, there is no place for sadness. So, cementery may be considered as a joyful place. And on Your photo, it really is.

J'aime bien ce cimetiere, j'aime bien l'idee des couleurs vives, et finalement j'aime bien ce ciel un peu surexpose, je trouve cela tres agreable.

Quelle étonnante image !
Elle permet de découvrir une culture et des croyances différentes des nôtres. Rien que pour ça, elle vaut grandement la peine...mais en plus, le cadrage, l'exposition et la netteté sont escellents !

Very interesting note. Cemeteries are without doubt a very strange but appealing motive at the same time. In fact I have some photos of Portuguese cemeteries myself.

In this case the culture contrast with the Portuguese cemeteries are really interesting.

Good POV and framing with vivid colors and a good clarity. Reducing the highlights could balance the exposure in the clouds.

yes your 're right , no sadness here, I remember very well visiting this kind of cemetery when I wasleaving in Mexico and I nether any sadness. Very Well done.
