Photographer's Note


Alrø is a small Danish island (one of 443 islands with a name of which 76 are inhabited) in the Horsens fjord on the eastern coast of Jutland in the municipality of Odder and it is a place where I particularly like I wander to the beauty of nature very wild. It has an area of 7.5 km2, and 1 January 2010, the island had a population of 160 inhabitants. The island is 7 km long and 4 miles wide at widest point. She can be reached by road via a dike that connects to the mainland on the north side of the fjord.

Alrø has been inhabited since the Stone Age and there is a small Romanesque church dating from the 14th century.
