Photographer's Note
ENGLISH: Imagine it being high summer and having a beach like this to yourself? I am a lucky girl. There was only one other I had to share it with, and he was a furry little fella called a wombat. Unfortunately I'd just been for a swim and did not have my camera as he ran across the sand into his burrow in the bush.
In my Workshop is a photo of a Wombat for people who don't know him. That photo was taken at a nearby wildlife park. The little wombat you see was found in his dead mother's pouch after she had been hit by a car. He is getting stronger every day, has an echidna for his best friend and loves having his tummy tickled.

It is snowing outside my window right now.
So thus amazing sea reminds me that the world can be different fron what I see now...
From the strictly technical point of view, the horizon is slightly tilted. You can easily correct it

Hello Lisa,
This is a very attractive seascape with beautiful light and tropical colours. I like how you have composed looking along the shoreline and taking full advantage of that lovely sky as it stretches into the far distance. Great sharpness throughout. Wombat and friend are both charming. Have a great week!

Hello you,
That's better, superbly composed, excellent perspective and a beautiful scene.
I love the way the sky meets the land and water with the wonderful rocks scattered throughout the foreground.
So, sneaked in a 17-40 while I wasn't watching eh. DD must love you.

Hi Lisa,
you know, this is how I pictured paradise ;-) That beach is just wonderful and the water looks so crisp and clear. And look at these clouds, just beautiful! Thanks for putting this one up, very nice to look at it, especially because we have tons of snow in Germany at the moment ;)
Take care
Mark
And yes, you are a lucky girl, your region must be amazing!

Hi Lisa, Your seascapes continue to inspire me, especially wuth your control on the exposure.. Your composition is exceptional, with great big close up rocks and the deep blue of the sky.. It looks like you had exceptional weather. Did you perhaps get up to Wine Glass Bay? I look forward to following your latest gallery on Tas. Have a great week ahead. Rich

Hi Lisa,
What a beautiful place to be.
You did it justice with that wide angle, deep depth of field and polarizer. The view here is three dimensional, great clouds adding to the depth of the scene.
Thanks for the workshop on those exotic animals. I don't remember ever seeing a wombat before - cute when they are young, aren't they? Not so sure about the echidna, though...
Have a great week Lisa!

You made fine use of your wide angle lens here! Your composition is great with your low point of view giving us a closeup view of the rocks. The lighting and colors are outstanding and the photo has excellent sharpness and DOF.

Oh my dear Lisa,
you are indeed a lucky girl to have such a stunning place all to yourself!! Simply fantastic shot - everything is perfect here and you got lucky with those clouds! Love it!
I can just picture the two of us sitting in that white sand, drinking some wine. keeping a look out for some Wombats (ooooh is he CUTE) and talking... Doesn't that sound like fun?

Hi Lisa
I would be happy just being at a beach and having warm weather and a blue sky. I'm sick of cold and grey and snow.
Beautiful scenery and so perfect with no one else there. Although the wombat would have been so cute in the foreground - I just love wombats.

Nikki

now I understand why my Tasmanian hairdresser misses his country so much :)
one of the best side-effects of shooting landscape photos with a wide-angle lens is the drama this adds to the sky, especially when clouds are involved...
I like very much the "infinity" feeling of this perspective, it gives the scene an incredible depth.

PS: nice guy, the Wombat - never saw one in my life before! :)

Une formidable carte postale de Tasmanie(tu devrais travailler à l'Office de Tourisme), des couleurs superbes, une trés belle profondeur, et en plus tu as bénéficié d'un ciel magique.
Bravo.

Hi Lisa
That's a tempting invitation to visit Tasmania! The dynamical effect of a turbulent sky, the lazy languor of the sea licking the beach, the beautiful clarity of the water, and the warmth that it suggests, all this is attractive. BUT, if, in addition, there are wombats, it becomes completely irresistible.
Congratulations.

Hi Lisa,
What a fantastic composition of water, sky and clouds; It is amazing to have such a lovely beach to your self and get to see a wombat in the wild as well!! They really are cute. Both of your WS photos are also well done.

Hello Lisa,
Very nice composition at wide angle providing a good rendering of this wide landscape. I like the way you used the rocks in foreground inside the frame.
It seems to have been a nice travel you did.

Hi Lisa,
you are really torturing me. Because there is a little chance that I will ever visit Australia not speaking about Tasmania.
Your photos from Tasmania are of a great value for TE because as I checked the gallery does not have much good photos from this island.
This place here is a real paradise. Turquoise water, white sand, blue sky decorated nicely with few white clouds. Very pretty rocky foreground, simply spectacular view.
I enjoy it very much, TFS

Hi Lisa,
This has all the charms of a secluded beach, and the wied angle. Whit sand and darker rocks. White clouds and polarised sky. Strange how this one seems to lean to the left, but when measured it does not.

Complimenti
Buona settimana

Hello Lisa,
What a spectacular place! And you had it all to yourself, what a treat!
I love the use of the wide-angle here and your excellent composition. You could not have asked for a better grouping of clouds: the way they concentrate in the upper left-hand corner, they form a perfect counter-weight for the rocks in the FG (a perfect place to stretch and roast, I bet ;-) ).
The colours are out of this world!
Greetings from a nearly monochromatic Prague! This white nonsense is pretty, but there is nowhere to put it any more, our sidewalks and roads have been diminished to narrow paths!
Hugs, Dasha

Hey Lisa,
The Canon`s 5D personal “touch” cannot be mistaken to anything else. When I use to own that camera for a very short period of time the shots looked awesome even on the embarrassing dim LCD display. Now the camera is being sold and I have the 5D Mark 2, for more than one year. Yeah, it has more of everything but is it better? Well, for me it has one indispensable feature (the 2 seconds timer) which was the reason I bought it for, plus the way better display and the extra megapixels, making eventual cropping easy. I needed the two seconds timer in order to be able to take hand held bracketed exposures (HDR) and the first generation of 5D can`t do it using the burst shot.
In the end, is it the last generation`s image quality better than the previous one? Hard to tell but in any case, the difference cannot be visible at the size required by this website.
Interesting how the puffy clouds look like they are mirrored by the underwater rocks…What a wonderful, pristine image! Lucky you to be there…
I envy you, you know Lisa?:)

I'm terribly behind in commenting your photos but your pace is too fast for my possibilities! (:-)
I love this place which as I already told you reminds me some parts in nothern Sardinia (unfortunately I don't have any digital photos of them) and I love your masterful and very fine composition. It's so good to see the colour and transparency of the water and the strong chromatic contrast with the white sand. The sky is really gorgious, I love the colour the polarizer gives and the high horizon gives a very good sense of depth. It's a photo -forgive me - that I consider really "mine", for the choice of the subject and the way it's composed. Best compliments and
TFS,
Donato
