Photographer's Note
Today we go back to August 1993. This is my shot at the Roman Governor Sculpture in Bodrum Castle. Being headless and situated in front of a short wall, this is one of the most posed-with statues that I know of. People like to get behind it and stick their heads out of its truncated neck.

Headless, but left its hands intact...
Hello Murat,
I would not put my head for a picture where someone beheaded it, just superstitons...
Chosen the POV with the flowers dominating the scene, well done, and a good scan.

Hello Murat,
The headless statue between the nice flowers make your picture very attractive, but extraordinarily.
An excellent composition, lovely presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Murat,
I knew right away without looking at the title that this wasn't in the US. I didn't spend much time at all in Bodrum, but did stay in Gumusluk to the west for a few days. The headless statue is irresistible to posers! Tfs!

Hello Murat,
there a ledge behind the statue that makes the classic photo pose easy and convenient. I like very much the sunshine and the colours of this scene, which are also familiar. There's historic and cultural interest but also irony, how can we associate the headless emperor with the brilliant and vibrant view around him. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania

Hello Murat,
A very nice impression of the castle grounds with this headless statue really nicely placed next to the blossoming tree. It looks almost as if the statue was posing for the photo. The light is pleasant too.

Hi Murat
This never ceases to amaze judging by the shot, love the headless not legless title he.. he
He may be headless but he maintains an excellent posture like statues with class should do but wonder how many thousands of tax payers money this cost!
This place might be a meeting of minds that can make you loose your head! LOL, Nice shot.
Best regards
