Photographer's Note
Just like in India where they have the blue city of Jodhpur, the pink city of Jaipur and the golden city of Jaisalmer.
I noticed in Morocco they also have colour themes for their cities; Marrakesh in red, Fez in yellow, Chefchaouen in blue and Essaouira the old port town also with hints of blue and white.

Hi Wanda,
A beautiful depiction of the old city streets of Essaouira. The blue windows are a match with the woman in blue scarf. A great POV with excellent contrast.
Best regards,
Vishal.

Hello Wanda - Now this is an atmospheric image; you have captured the cool, shady alley with its peaceful and exotic mystique beautifully. The light and colour management is great; a timeless image which could have been shot a 100 years ago (if not for the electric power!). Really nice. Best regards Rosemary

Hi Wanda,
No need to underline the blue correspondence between the dress and the shutters, this is the most obvious and magnetic part of your photo... Whoops, I just did it.
The dim light really brings a dose of mystery. The tones and textures of the walls and doors are really great, because they are authentic and timeless. I like the symmetry of your composition and the fact that the woman is actually off-centered, breaking the anticipation and evenness of such a visual structure.
The frame within the frame works perfectly here, matching the size of the camera format. Well managed exposure in difficult situation where the highlights and dark zones live next to another and in total contrast.
The kind of shot I like, for the fantastic sense of travel and adventure. Would do a great cover for a photography book about Morocco.
Ma'as salama!

Hello Wanda,
A fascinating note to accompany a superb photograph. The woman with the blue shawl will remind me of this surpassing packet for TE.

Hi Wanda
A quiet post, with the top round frame, the greyish hues of the houses and the values of blue color.
The woman is essential.
Kind regards

Hi Wanda
Splendid image with excellent composition, great control of highlights, shadows and colors. Love your view point and how the passage way invites the eye to wander into the background door. Archway shots are always intriguing and there is a mix of invitation and mystery. There are lots of random elements working well such as the woman. Good lead-in with strong on detail and textures, the wall stonework is fascinating with lots of charm about this place. Good mix of light and the overall effect is very pleasing to the eye with nice shadows intensifying the depth. Brilliant capture, a place of full of charm. Congrats. Have a nice day.
Best regards

hi wanda,
I remember Essaouira as one of the highlights of my holiday in Morocco. the blue, that particular blue of the boats in the harbour, of the windows and the doors of the medina is forever imprinted in my memory :)
here you show the fascinating little streets and old houses of Essaouira - maybe we wouldn't live in these houses but they surely make for great photo material :)
excellent light management and great details!
have a nice weekend,
c.

Dag Wanda,
Great 'frame' shot. The way the blue returns in the details is the obvious winner here, a great shot overall. Congrat's & have a fine week.

Dag dear Wanda
Beautifully framed and the exposure control was well managed. Its interesting that there are only 2 main colours here...the colour of the wall & blue....even the scarf of the person happens to be blue. Well spotted & taken shot!
Best Regards

Hi Wanda,
interesting note, i didn`t know about the colour themes in Morocco ! There are probably more places in the world who have similar themes !? I like this vertical composition a lot. The archway is an excellent frame for this narrow street, it was a good idea to include the woman in blue in this photo, well done !
Best regards.

Blue, the color of love, appealed to me the most when I saw this photograph. This is photography as a fine art. Blue (read love) covers her upper part and white (peace) her lower part. Blue is visible is different elements like windows (symbolizing gateway to inner self), lamp (symbolizing enlightenment), one has to observe carefully. The blue, the white and the rusty & dirty all are together, gracefully framed in the eternal unknown (dark outer rim/frame of this photograph).
A true masterpiece Wanda!
