Manhattan est la partie la plus riche de la ville de New York, ce qui en fait l'arrondissement le plus touristique de Big Apple, mondialement célèbre pour ses gratte-ciel et son activité trépidante. Manhattan est aussi le cœur économique et financier de la ville, bâti autour de Wall Street qui accueille le New York Stock Exchange, et Midtown qui compte plusieurs sièges sociaux d'entreprises comme la Time Warner, Bloomberg LP ou encore MetLife.

Bonjour Serge,

The sky appears to be rendered in watercolor with soft pastel colors. Meanwhile, the boats in the foreground are sharp and crisp in appearance. Lovely photo.

Les mats des voiliers ont un effet graphique. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des grattes-ciel. La lumière a uin bel effet sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Stunning photo, really stunning. I am zooming in on the new tower and cannot take eyes off it, the light and color are superb. For such an important and iconic building, i have seen remarkably little of it in media or in photo, so that makes your photo even more pleasant to view. Really nicely done

Hello Serge,

I was surprised at the number of marinas to be found in Manhatten, it was a very pleasant surprise!

I really like the view that you have given us!
The soft morning light adds a sort of peace to the scene.

The yachts make a interesting f/g, their tall masts mimicking and vying for attention with the tall skyscrapers in the b/g, all set against this pale, washed sky.

I think these summer when I’m in NY I have to rise one time early in the morning to try to capture this beautiful soft morning light.
You did excellent light-management here with the perfect balance between the sky, the skyline and the boats and water in front.

Bonjour Serge,
a second ago I wrote to Rob that I would not be able to recognize NYC now. When I visited it was already after 9/11 but before this new tower was built. The place is changing so fast. The only way to catch up with the changes is to watch TrekEarth :)

a magical moment, the great city and its marina gradually revealed by the soft and sweet morning light.
